Joy from letters
Hi guysss. This is one of those posts that materialised out a spontaneous burst of energy. What prompted it is the joy I felt at reading a few editorials on today's Hindu Newspaper that gave me simple yet profound and beautiful quotes and thoughts.
I just realised that chancing upon thoughts, ideas and phrases that light up my mind or resonate with it, especially while reading, has the miraculous power of making me the happiest girl in seconds.
The articles I read today (11/08/2026) included "Do not write the obituary of international law yet" by Jyoti Singh and "How personality cults derail democracy" by Nirupama Rao and other writings.
My fondness for these pieces could have arisen from the flow of their arguments, the simplicity and exactness of their phrases or just how easily it seeped into my mind without clogging it with too much information. It could also have been because of the familiarity that the references to 'The Odyssey', literary and historical figures and beautiful quotations offered to my literature major's heart.
Either way, I'm just happy and thought I'd share it. And kudos to posting again! Let consistency lead this blog through the tides of uncertainty.
