Somewhere Between Plans and Chaos

I’m writing after a short break, and honestly, I don’t really have a clear idea of what to write about. But I wanted to post anyway, so here goes…

The past two to three weeks went by in a blur. A lot of things happened, and trying to recollect them now feels like containing the entire ocean in a fish tank. But I know that each experience challenged me and helped me grow in ways I may not be able to completely track down—and that’s okay. As many of my earlier writings suggest, some experiences simply become a part of you, even without your awareness.

Yet, one thing I realised during those challenging moments was that life moves on. Even the hard times that loom like an end eventually make way for you, as time does its job. I also learned how important it is to leave something alone after doing your best, and to trust the effort you’ve put in. Trying to do everything yourself, or wanting everything to go exactly your way, doesn’t make things perfect—it only drains you and makes you fear losing control over things you never really controlled in the first place.

Okay, this is turning into a lecturing session lol. But on an interesting note, something tells me I am writing this for the girl I was in the last few weeks—and that feels amazing. While being in the middle of the chaos, it felt like everything was falling apart. All the elaborate, minute-to-minute plans seemed to blur together, with some even flying out the window during execution. At that point, I could only see the worst of things. But once it was over, I realised that everything had fallen into place exactly as it was meant to.

Looking back now, in a better state of mind, I can see the positives too. The last-minute changes didn’t mean failure—they showed my ability to adapt. And most importantly, plans and strategies are just roadmaps. The real journey is messier, more adventurous, and far more alive. One thing I’m genuinely proud of is that I was able to stay flexible, allowing me to adjust as things changed.

So yeah, sometimes effective action isn’t about executing a plan perfectly. It’s about solving problems as they arise, using everything you have. Good planning doesn’t guarantee control—it equips you with tools and ideas for the unexpected. In the end, success lies somewhere in the balance between planning and execution, where preparation, trust, and presence of mind quietly take the lead.
